I noticed a error in their execution of the song. It was so interesting to me to see this level of musicians exude a
element of being human. They Actually "F'd" up. Chick brought more attention to it by saying something about their mistake but not berating the band. I could tell they new what they did alternatively.
Recently, I sat in on a famous guitar player, "Paul Jackson Jr.", recording a live video and he would stop in the middle of his solo guitar piece because he noticed he wasn't playing how he wanted to play. I didn't notice anything but he did. He had enough integrity to stop playing, start over, so he can do it to his satisfaction. The truth is that imperfection is what makes us perfect. Getting it right all the time would be boring. I bring this up to say this: Strive for perfection and excellence but avoid beating yourself up about making mistakes. If you want it right every time then record it and lip sync to it at your shows. Then your guaranteed not to have any mistakes. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying welcome mistakes but know that in this yen and yang of life we need balance. What vibe is is that beautiful equal librium between perfection and imperfection. Life is balance thus we will allow it.
