Creativity has it's pros and cons. A creative person who creates from a internal stand point, meaning they do not rely on music theory and formula, has a great advantage of coming up with what will be "New" to the field of music. Purely going by feeling means that theory is irrelevant. This is true in that there are no rules when it comes to vibe or the expression of emotions. However, pure feel means that diaspora must support the creative thought. Everything plays a part in creation. Weather, state of mind, mental health, financial health. Everything. If one thing is off enough to distract you from creating then creation is inhibited.
On the other hand creating from theory may be more efficient. Formulas are there to expedite the process.
Theory is proven methods of what most people are used to hearing. Creating from Theory doesn't require that your bank account be healthy or your marriage be doing well. Theory, in effect, is just plug and play.
Now to have a handle on both is absolutely a joy. Now you can write no matter what's going on in your life.
You may get bored or even crave something new but you don't have to. So if the vibe isn't right and your not feeling that song then switch to a theoretical viewpoint of writing just to get things done. But watch out for people who can only write from feel. Then you must accommodate them in order to get
